Day 4
Zach
Here's an example of a good man. This guy is apparently the best soccer player at UGA and he came over to my house the other day without me knowing anything about it. He's one of David's soccer pals and we had some drinks together. He's kind of quiet but he can play some fricking soccer. He's also in my economics class which i think is pretty cool. Idk, he's a cool cat. Hope i can get to know him better. tootles

Lent 2012
Day 3
Matt Foley
I met Matt through the UGA running club today. He is a decent runner with some pretty solid running experience. I saw that he ran at Milton in high school, which is where a lot of decent runners ran, so he has some experience there. We chilled before the run and talked about random stuff like transforming our running area into a giant party arena complete with speakers and bleachers for an audience to watch us as we tackle the world of distance running. He's a cool guy. I'm not too sure exactly how much exposure I'm going to have to Matt, but it seems to me that he's gonna be a part of the running club for a good while. It's cool that when I mention jerseys, everyone's eyes light up and they say "I WANT ONE!!!" It's like the jerseys make the running club/club cross country more official. It's really cool to see the running club take shape.
What am I doing? I'm supposed to be talking about Matt, not the running club. But yea, Matt's a pretty cool cat. Good runner, good joker, good midnight toker. I have no clue what that means. But yea, day 3, eat me.

Day 2
Anna
There's a girl who sits next to me in my Spanish class, and she has tried to talk to me a few times about assignments and random stuff from time to time, but I never really reached out to be her friend. This past Tuesday, we got to talking before and after class and I figured it was time to possibly reach out that last little bit and "solidify" a friendship. Call it what you want, but I got her phone number, and I honestly only had intentions of getting to know her better possibly. So... yea, i got her digits. Lolz. But she is a really interesting person and i'm sure we'll be talking throughout the semester about how our class is difficult/crazy/stupid, so i have that to look forward to. Totes pumped.
That is it for day 2, let the lent continue

Lent 2012
For a while I couldn't think of anything that I could do for lent. The only thing that was relevant was being sober for 40 days, and, well...I just didn't want to do that. So, I have decided that I am going to meet 1 new person each day for 40 days and somehow make them smile. Hopefully this new person will one day be a great friend, and, just maybe, one day I can show them what it was like the first time I met him/her. With that in mind, here is who I met today:
Day 1:
Harris Ahamed
I've somewhat known Harris for about a month because he runs competitively just like I do. He runs, I'd estimate...about 50/60 miles per week, so he's not too shabby.
I honestly didn't know what to think of this guy. He always seemed nice online and, from a small amount of facebook stalking he seemed to be in shape. I ran with him yesterday and today I saw him in the cafeteria and shook his hand <official introduction :P. We talked about running, personal bests and of course, what type of pasta we were going to order. (Chicken Pesto obviously). Quickly I could tell that Harris was kind of a badass. To what extent, I cannot be sure, but I will say that he's a cool guy. I obviously can't fully get to know anyone in only one day, but I'm sure we'll run more and talk more about stuff outside of running. It was cool meeting him and all good jazz, and (get ready for romantic exit) I'm sure our paths will cross again in the distant land or Mordor.....
